The Springhill Suites by Marriott is coming to Frederica!

Asbury Square’s cornerstone project has officially broken ground. Located in Frederica’s newest development, the Springhill Suites will offer expanded rooms and guest amenities to out-of-town visitors. The new project stands across from DE Turf, Kent County’s regional sports complex. The 86-room hotel will feature new and enticing accommodations for guests attending tournaments and games.

Asbury Hospitality, LLC principal Michael Meoli believes the new Springhill Suites is ideally situated to service guests looking for a premier lodging option close to the sports complex.

Officials at the recent groundbreaking even had a little help with the ceremony. Member’s of DE Turf’s youth soccer league helped “break ground” with a ceremonial “kick off” launching soccer balls into the hotel’s foundation.

The hotel property is expected to be completed by Spring 2023.
