The Meoli Companies High School Senior Scholarship will award five scholarships, valued at $2,000, to five Meoli Company graduating high school seniors. Winners will be selected based on answers to questions that focus on the employee’s overall story, their presence in the community, challenges they have overcome, and plans for their education.

Applicants will only be considered for this scholarship if they meet all required criteria. Following the deadline, applications will be reviewed by a panel of 3, including a panelist from outside of The Meoli Companies. This process will rank all individuals on a numeric scale from 0-10, depending on how answers fit into the scholarship’s essence. Based on scoring, five students will be selected to receive scholarships. Responses will be reviewed blindly, meaning the panel will not know the applicants name, restaurant or any additional identifiable personal information.

To qualify, the employee must:

• Have been employed by a participating store for at least 90 days and work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
• Be actively employed at the time the scholarship is distributed.
• Be in good standing (e.g., not have been subject to significant disciplinary action within the prior 12 months)
• Plans to attend a college/university, community college, or vocational/technical certificate or program.
• Have a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Scholarship funds may be used for tuition and cost of attendance. All checks will be made out directly to the university, community college, or trade school that the student will be attending.
