We are thrilled to announce that The Meoli Companies McDonald’s has recently awarded a total of $10,000 in college scholarships to five outstanding employees who have recently graduated from local high schools. These funds are part of our annual scholarship program that supports hardworking individuals within our team as they pursue higher education.
The recipients of these awards are truly exceptional:
- Jonathan Brittingham from Selbyville, Delaware: University of Delaware
- Henry Grote from Selbyville, Delaware: Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia
- Faith Johnson from Denton, Maryland: Penn State University
- Monique Payne from Dover, Delaware: Delaware State University
- McKenzie Tubbs from Millsboro, Delaware: University of Delaware
Our scholarship application process delved into the unique stories and experiences of these incredible employees. While academic excellence is important, we were equally interested in understanding their contributions to their communities, their perseverance in overcoming challenges, and their aspirations for the future.
Jonathan Brittingham discovered his passion during senior year, starring in “Misery” and holding leadership roles like Class President. Henry Grote excelled in clubs and found his true calling in volunteer work, including at a Baltimore homeless shelter. Faith Johnson’s dedication to field hockey and her commitment to building diverse relationships led her to study veterinary medicine. Monique Payne, a member of the Dover High School Marching Band’s Poms Squad, found purpose in assisting kids with disabilities through Kent County Community School. McKenzie Tubbs, active in lacrosse and Leo club at Indian River High School, also dedicated herself to projects like Tim Tebow and Night to Shine, making prom night special for students with special needs.
At The Meoli Companies, we strive to be an integral part of the communities in which we operate. We constantly seek ways to make a positive impact, and these scholarships represent just one of the many ways we give back to the communities we serve. Congratulations to our deserving scholarship recipients. We’re proud to be a part of your success!
