In 2025, the Meoli Companies marked another incredible year of milestone celebrations, honoring the largest group of anniversary team members in company history. This year’s events reflected both continued growth across Delmarva and an exciting expansion into Virginia, bringing together hundreds of dedicated McDonald’s team members to celebrate years of service, achievement, and pride in the Meoli Companies culture.
Delmarva’s Meoli Milestones celebration was held for the first time at Harrington Casino, where the room was filled with energy, applause, and work pride. More than 180 team members were honored for their milestone anniversaries, representing Meoli Companies’ 27 McDonald’s restaurants across Delaware and Maryland. In addition, a separate Meoli Milestones event was hosted in Norfolk to recognize team members from Meoli Companies’ newly acquired Virginia restaurants, now totaling 11 locations with a 12th on the way.
Across both celebrations, milestone anniversaries ranged from 1 year to an incredible 45 years of service. The Delmarva honorees included three 20-year team members, five 25-year team members, Shawn Considine celebrating 35 years, Joe Holthaus and Daouda Ouattara marking 40 years, and Roberta Walter, Jim Schaffer, and Mike Meoli each celebrating 45 years. In Norfolk, team members were recognized for 1, 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of service, highlighting the strong foundation already in place within the growing Virginia market.
Leadership from across the organization, many of whom were celebrating milestone anniversaries of their own, joined both events to personally recognize and thank the honorees, celebrating not just the length of service but the people behind it. These team members come from different backgrounds, age groups, and career paths, yet all share a commitment to teamwork, opportunity, and providing exceptional service to the communities they serve.
Both events also highlighted the impact of Archways to Opportunity, with powerful and emotional stories shared by team members whose lives have been changed through education. At the Delmarva celebration, Chrissy Guy spoke about earning two college degrees in just four years while caring for a family member with cancer and later fighting cancer herself. In Norfolk, Chris Hawkins shared his journey of starting at McDonald’s as a teenager, meeting his wife on the job, raising daughters who earned their own degrees, and deciding at age 50 to pursue his bachelor’s degree.
Here’s to another unforgettable year of milestones and to the incredible team members who make the Meoli Companies what it is today.
