Celebrating Limitless Potential: Meoli Companies Sponsors Inaugural Girls on the Run Scholarships

At Meoli Companies, giving back to our communities has always been at the heart of what we do. This spring, we were honored to support a cause that aligns perfectly with our values—empowering the next generation.

We proudly partnered with Girls on the Run Delaware to sponsor the very first Limitless Potential Alumni Scholarships awarded to graduating seniors in Sussex and Kent Counties. These $1,000 scholarships recognize former Girls on the Run participants who have demonstrated perseverance, confidence, and a commitment to their futures.

Meet the 2025 Scholarship Recipients

  • Carly Favoroso of Sussex County participated in Girls on the Run at Lulu Ross Elementary. A graduating senior from Cape Henlopen High School, she is headed to East Carolina University this fall.

  • Addison Hake of Kent County was part of the GOTR team at W.B. Simpson Elementary. She is graduating from Polytech High School and will attend Flagler College in Florida.

Girls on the Run Delaware Executive Director Kim Chitty shared, “This alumni scholarship is designed to support former Girls on the Run participants who embody the limitless potential fostered through the program. We’re so grateful for the generosity of McDonald’s/The Meoli Companies in making this possible.”

Girls on the Run is more than a running program—it’s a movement to inspire confidence, compassion, and resilience in girls from third to eighth grade. For over 20 years, the Delaware chapter has reached nearly 32,000 girls, and in Spring 2025 alone, more than 1,400 girls across the state completed the eight-week program, supported by 335 dedicated volunteer coaches.

This new scholarship will now be awarded annually to one high school senior from each Delaware county who has participated in at least two GOTR seasons and is continuing their education.

Supporting this scholarship is just one way we live our commitment to community impact. From youth development to educational opportunities, Meoli Companies and our family of 36 McDonald’s restaurants across Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia are proud to be part of building brighter futures.

Congratulations to Carly and Addison—we can’t wait to see where your journeys take you!
